Zenterior is led by experienced interior designers working across Cornwall, creating considered, fully resolved interiors for private homes, luxury holiday lets, commercial properties and renovation projects.
With decades of experience spanning design studios, renovation, retail, styling and set design, the studio brings together both creative and technical expertise, shaping interiors that are characterful, practical, entirely individual and grounded in the way they are lived in.
Liselle Milner
Founder & Creative Director
Liselle Milner is an award-winning interior designer with over 20 years’ experience in residential and commercial interiors, renovation and build.
She founded Zenterior in 2018 following a career in senior design roles, with a clear vision to create a company prioritising sustainability and celebrating British design. From the outset, the aim was to bring together ancient found treasures and contemporary design, creating interiors that are thoughtful, unexpected and appropriate to their setting.
Her first love was theatre, where she developed a passion for set design and sourcing period-appropriate antiques and props. As her thinking developed, she increasingly found herself writing pieces and designing spaces away from the classic proscenium arch, spaces that placed the audience at the heart of the performance, enveloped within the space. During her undergraduate degree and MA at Exeter University, she developed a deep understanding of art through the eras and became fascinated by the way the social zeitgeist shapes art, architecture and social movements throughout history, with her dissertation focusing on the significance of subversive performers during the early 1900s.
Moving into interior design was a natural progression, with her early career developing through senior roles in established design firms. Her practical experience has continued throughout her career, including hands-on work in renovation and restoration, giving her a detailed understanding of construction, materials and finishes, as well as the creative possibilities of existing buildings.
Today, Liselle brings this combination of creative thinking, technical knowledge and practical experience to every project, working closely with clients, architects, contractors and specialist makers. Her background in theatre and set design informs a distinctive approach to creating interiors with atmosphere, balance and a strong underlying narrative.
Liselle leads each project with close attention to detail and a clear design direction, ensuring that the creative vision is carefully resolved and that interiors function effortlessly, last the test of time and remain true to their setting. That original idea at the heart of Zenterior, bringing together history, creativity and the unexpected, remains unchanged.

Jessica Forbes
Interior Designer and Stylist
Jessica Forbes is an interior designer and stylist with over 25 years’ experience across retail, residential and commercial interiors.
After graduating in Fine Art, her early career in London included designing and visual merchandising for brands such as Harvey Nichols, John Lewis, Habitat, Lombok and William Yeoward, developing a strong foundation in visual composition, proportion and spatial storytelling.
Now based in Cornwall, she brings a refined, considered approach to interiors, with a particular strength in colour, balance and styling.
Jessica works both independently through her own studio and as part of the Zenterior team, contributing her experience and design insight across a range of projects.

This combination of experience allows for a considered and nuanced approach, where interiors are both carefully structured and richly layered, resulting in spaces that feel cohesive, individual and enduring.
