SEA ESCAPE: Coastal Holiday Let Interior Design in Looe, Cornwall

This Edwardian coastal renovation in Looe, Cornwall focused on creating a distinctive holiday home that would stand out in the region’s competitive rental market. The project involved extensive building work and renovation, with a tight budget to work within.

The clients favoured dark interiors, but also wanted a property that would appeal to holiday guests. The design therefore balances moody aesthetics preferred by the client with a lighter coastal palette that feels welcoming and relaxed. Designing interiors for holiday rental properties requires balancing character, durability and broad guest appeal while creating a memorable experience for visitors.

Almost all of the furniture was thrifted from charity shops, auctions, reclamation yards and marketplace, with a strong focus on reuse and repurposing throughout the project.
